Qingci was born on June 21, 2022, at Hetaoping Base in Wolong, one of Bosi's twin daughters. Before she was two years old, she underwent two operations for a rare intestinal obstruction complicated by intussusception. She died on March 23, 2024. The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda described it as the first case of its kind the center had encountered in recent years.
