Beixia was born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on July 10, 2022, as one of Beichuan’s twins; his older twin brother is Beichen. Beixia’s most distinctive physical feature is the absence of his left forelimb. Public records show that he can still climb, run and play with other pandas.
