Qiqi’s name carries part of her birth story. Born in Shanghai on July 17, 2018, she was her mother Gongzhu’s 14th cub and seventh daughter, which helped “Qiqi” stand out in a public naming campaign. Shanghai Wild Animal Park has long described her as lively and cheerful, with a particular fondness for ball-shaped enrichment toys.
