Jicheng and her younger twin brother Jixian were born on June 23, 2025, at the Starlight Nursery of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. They are Jili's male-female twins. Soon after birth, both cubs showed pronounced gray coloring on the ears, limbs, and eye patches, which gradually turned black by around six months of age—a clear identifying feature of the new generation in this “little gray” family line.
