Life status: Living
Born: August 20, 2019

Xingye is the older of Caocao’s twin sons born after she took part in the field breeding program with wild pandas. On August 20, 2019, the day the brothers were born at Hetaoping, landslides and debris flows cut communications and power. Xingye, who weighed 166 grams, was later placed back with Caocao to be nursed, while his smaller brother remained in a makeshift nursery for hand-rearing.
