Xixi is one of Chongqing Zoo’s four pandas nicknamed the “Four Happiness Meatballs.” On June 23, 2019, Mangzai gave birth to twin sisters Xixi and Qingqing, while Lanxiang gave birth to twin brothers Shuangshuang and Chongchong the same day. It was the first time in nearly 60 years of giant panda breeding at Chongqing Zoo that two sets of twins were born on the same day. Zoo introductions describe Xixi as having a relatively long muzzle; she tends to prefer being on her own and is quick to react.
