Born

As a subadult, Yanghua entered the Huaying Mountain giant panda wild training and release program with Yuntao and took part in research on preparation for release into the wild. As an adult, she went on to become a mother several times. That journey—from a panda involved in reintroduction research to an experienced mother—is an important part of her story.
