Life status

Born

Schönbrunn Zoo had already considered the name Fufeng before she was born. She and her younger twin brother Fuban were born in Vienna on August 7, 2016. The zoo chose “Feng,” meaning phoenix, to echo the “Long,” or dragon, in the name of its first cub Fulong. Fufeng and Fuban also became the first captive giant panda twins successfully raised entirely by their mother Yangyang without human assistance.
