Qianqian

芊芊

Life status: Living
Born: September 11, 2006

After the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, the still-young Qianqian left Sichuan with Sijia and Meiqie as part of Wolong’s first use of temporary off-site foster care for giant panda cubs. A keeper described her at the time as slender and highly responsive to people around her. As an adult, Qianqian raised multiple litters, and the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda has described her as an experienced mother.
