The sisters were born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on May 23, 2018, lived together for years, moved to Beijing Zoo together in 2019 and returned to Sichuan together in 2025.

After completing quarantine and acclimation, Mengyu formally moved into Beijing Zoo’s Giant Panda Olympic Hall on October 13, 2019, and met the public.

Left Beijing Zoo and returned to Sichuan
Mengyu left Beijing Zoo with Mengbao on September 25, 2025, arrived in Sichuan and entered the care of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda.
