Yalaoer and her older sister Yalaoda were twin sisters born in 1999. She moved to Chongqing Zoo in 2001 and lived there for many years. Her daughters included Ershun, who later lived in Canada, as well as Mangzai and Haoqi, both members of Chongqing Zoo’s giant panda family.
