Yongbang is a male giant panda born at Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama, on September 13, 2008, the younger cub in Rauhin’s first twin litter. Adventure World later recalled that Yongbang was smaller and somewhat frailer as a young cub but grew up successfully. He was playful and affectionate, and his long nose resembled that of his father, Eimei. In 2013, Yongbang returned to China with his older sister Meibang.
