Long Bang and his younger twin brother Qiu Bang were part of an important cub-rearing milestone. After their birth in 2003, their mother Mei Mei nursed both cubs naturally and raised them both successfully—the first such case for giant panda twins in captivity. Adventure World later remembered Long Bang as calm and gentle; even when playing with his livelier brother, he was usually the one to give way.
