In years of public observation at Guangzhou Zoo, Xingyi has consistently been the quieter, more composed panda of the pair. His slightly pointed muzzle, black-tipped tail, and white fur on his feet are also easy to recognize. He was born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on August 23, 2013, and began taking part in giant panda public education exhibitions in Guangzhou with his cousin Yayi in 2016.
