Youyou

佑佑

Life status: Living
Born: July 21, 2008

Active, fond of climbing and occasionally destructive—these have been consistent traits of Youyou. In 2009, a Wolong expert described Youyou as a playful “sanda champion.” Years later at Yabuli, staff still recorded high activity levels, a liking for running and climbing, and even the dismantling of three thatched shelters. Youyou and Hanyuan are twins, and Youyou was also one of the 10 giant pandas in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo program.
